Recollections of the town from 21 former inhabitants, collected in the 1990s, and covering 1900 to the end of the century. Originally published in 1992 and 1996, the first editions are now virtually impossible to obtain.
A fresh, combined edition of 155 pages, with gloss paper to highlight 80 photos, maps & contemporary adverts, not included in the original two editions.
Many previously unpublished photos of historic Ramsbottom.
There are plenty of topics about Ramsbottom and District – Edenfield, Holcombe, Shuttleworth, Summerseat – yet to be covered by local writers. Our ambition is to make this the one of the best recorded districts in Britain.
