Ramsbottom Pubs & “the Odious and Loathsome Sin of Drunkenness”
The exhibition focuses on pubs that existed in 1890 and what they look like now. There are panels of the history of four local pubs that still exist, Edenfield Brewery and the story of the Marsdens who were arrested over 30 times for drunkenness. The exhibition also has many examples of pub memorabilia.

Members of the Ramsbottom Heritage Society will be in attendance on selected Sundays from 12.00 p.m. until 3 p.m. to provide information and assistance

Before making a long journey, please email to check that the gallery will be open
When the library is closed the entrance to the gallery will be via the new entrance door accessible from the footpath to the side of the library or by the new lift entrance at pavement level.
