Question

answer

My grandparents lived in Nuttall Lane, Ramsbottom, in the 1930 - 40's, in a row house.

My grandfather worked in the Chemical works. I do remember the huge doors on what I believe was Nuttall Hall.

I must have been all of 2 years old..

My mother was a cotton queen. I have no idea when, as she never told me she was a queen. Her name was Sarah Ann Jones.

I heard this from someone else. I would like to know what year.

Also, my uncle Charley (Charles Jones) was a long distance runner and died in the battle of El Alamein, North Africa.

Possibly he was in the Lancashire Fusiliers.

Apparently, I was baptized in St. Joseph's RC Church in 1938.

I have lived most of my life in the USA. I now live in Orlando, FL.

I would like to have some more information on my grandparents: Alfred Jones and Catherine Nee Grimshaw if anyone has information..

Thank you, for any help.
