From Jane Phoenix

I am currently trying to trace my family history but have come to a bit of a dead end.  I am trying to find out who owned Stubbins mill and also who lived in Stubbins house around 1908/09.

Question  034

Answer

THE HISTORY OF CROMPTONS (STUBBINS) PAPERMILL

1908 the Mill (building) was purchased from a firm called Rumney (Bleachworks) by the Calico Printing Association for the purpose of rendering it redundant before putting part of the  buildings up for sale.  The Building was acquired by James R Crompton Ltd for conversion to a Paper Mill.
